Meta Delays Plan to Encrypt Facebook and Instagram Messages until 2023

Meta, the parent company for Instagram and Facebook, has delayed plans to encrypt letters on the platform until 2023 amid warnings from campaigners for child safety who fence that the move would shield abusers and aid them avert detection.
